Francesco graduated in Physiotherapy cum laude and later earned his Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning with Honours from the prestigious Middlesex University in London. He subsequently completed his PhD in Exercise Medicine at the Exercise Medicine Research Institute of Edith Cowan University (Perth, Western Australia), where he currently works. His research focuses on exploring how exercise may reduce mortality risk and on understanding the biological and clinical mechanisms underlying the benefits of exercise in people diagnosed with cancer.
Francesco has published several scientific papers in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and has been a keynote speaker at several national and international conferences on the topic “Exercise is Medicine.” In clinical practice, he applies his expertise to individuals with specific conditions, including cancer. In particular, he works with patients with breast and prostate cancer, aiming to help them improve their quality of life during and after the illness.

Luzia Travado is a clinical health psychologist specialized in psycho-oncology, holding a PhD from the University of Coimbra. She has over 35 years of hospital experience, with national and international relevance, in the integration of psycho-oncological care in the treatment of cancer patients. Currently, she is involved in clinical practice and research at the Champalimaud Foundation. In 2022, she received a prestigious international award for her work in promoting psycho-oncology.

Scott Capozza, PT, MS works as an outpatient physiotherapist dedicated to oncology rehabilitation at Smilow Cancer Hospital at the Yale Cancer Center in Connecticut, USA. He is among the first class of board-certified clinical specialists in oncologic physical therapy in the United States. He holds several leadership positions within the American Physical Therapy Association.
Scott has taught as an adjunct professor in Oncology Physical Therapy for multiple universities in Connecticut and has delivered lectures to physiotherapy programs around the United States educating students about the benefits of oncology rehabilitation. He has presented professionally on the local, state, national and international level and has been a co-author on several peer-reviewed publications. Lifestyle Medicine Health Coach
Julie Bach is the Founder and Executive Director of Wellness for Cancer, a global charity supporting individuals across the cancer continuum. She serves as the founding Chair of the Society for Integrative Oncology Health Coaching Special Interest Group (SIG), advancing the field of health coaching in oncology. Through the SIG, Julie is a co-author of the first landmark paper defining the role of health coaches in oncology, as well as a published commentary in the Journal of Integrative and Complementary Medicine. She is currently leading a team to uncover the leading practices of utilizing health coaches in cancer centers and just finished a project on developing the Global Competencies for Health Coaching in Oncology.
Bach developed the Cancer Health & Wellness Coaching continuing education training through more than a decade of work alongside physicians and supportive care practitioners and has delivered the program in five countries. She served as Program Architect for the Prescribing Wellness health coaching program with Hope & Beauty MD / Apricity Oncology. Through Wellness for Cancer, Living Well content for people touched by cancer is now accessible in over 6,000 retirement communities.
